Modern Slavery Statement
Last updated: October 2025
1. Introduction
PKL Pensions Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to operating with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, and any form of exploitation within our operations or supply chain.
This statement outlines the steps we take to prevent slavery and human trafficking in connection with our business activities.
2. Our Business
PKL Pensions Ltd provides an independent digital platform connecting UK workers and employers with recognised pension providers authorised for automatic enrolment participation.
We do not manufacture goods or operate in high-risk sectors, and our operations are entirely based in the United Kingdom.
Our core activities involve digital platform management, compliance administration, and professional services — areas where the risk of modern slavery is considered low.
3. Our Supply Chain
Our suppliers include:
- UK-based IT and cloud service providers
- Professional advisers (legal, compliance, and accountancy)
- Office, telecommunications, and software vendors
We select suppliers based on ethical standards, service quality, and compliance credentials.
Where possible, we work only with UK-registered businesses subject to the same regulatory environment and employment protections.
4. Our Policies and Procedures
To prevent modern slavery within our business and supply chain, we have implemented the following controls:
- Ethical Conduct: All employees, contractors, and partners must act honestly, fairly, and lawfully.
- Supplier Vetting: We review supplier credentials and contracts to ensure they align with UK employment and human-rights legislation.
- Whistleblowing: We encourage staff to report any concerns about unethical or illegal behaviour.
- Training and Awareness: Our compliance team monitors legislative updates and communicates expectations to staff and partners.
5. Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
Given the nature of our business and the UK-based scope of our operations, the overall risk of modern slavery within PKL Pensions is considered low.
However, we remain vigilant and conduct periodic checks on suppliers and service partners, particularly where sub-contracting or overseas data processing could occur.
6. Responsibility for This Policy
The Compliance Officer is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of this policy and ensuring that all staff and suppliers are aware of their obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Any breaches or concerns should be reported immediately to info@pkl-pensions.com for investigation.
7. Review and Approval
This statement is reviewed annually or sooner if there are significant changes to our operations or supply chain.
It has been approved by the Board of PKL Pensions Ltd and published on our website.
